I have been seeing one a day for about a week now...on one particular canna. Needless to say....I have gotten over my sqeamies....and I squish the little devils!!

Ugh, they are alive and well in Moody (SW St. Clair Co.). They have eaten all of my rose blooms (the few that I had) and are starting to make their way through my coneflowers as well. I noticed the first one last week, but they may have gotten there the week before, while we were at the beach.

This morning I saw three munching, having breakfast on a leaf at the top of one of my tallest bananas. Had to get the water hose to blast the nasty boogers off.

I'm sure there will be more to come....

I'm afraid to talk about them - bad karma. If you say their name out loud it attacts them to you. shhhhhhhhhhhhh

Linda is RIGHT !! Bad karma for sure. I posted on Monday a.m., saw a few late in the day Monday and now am covered UP.....

They are really munching on the banana leaves and muscadines too.

Do not put out the beetle bags.We put them out year before last and had soooo many that we were picking them off and putting them in soapy water.We have not used again,and only see a few.We were changing the bags almost weekly.You have to burn them or put the bags into another plastic bag that they cant get out of.Never again,just too much trouble and I really believe that they would not have been as bad if we had not used the bags.
