Nelson & Terry--another thanks

Nelson, this plant you gave me at the last swap is one of the few i have that

has not minded this weather, and I love it. I forgot what its called.

"Cucaramba' or something starting with a "C" as I recall.

Terry, the brug you gave me is another trooper. I look forward to the smell when it blooms.

For some reason, another positive this year so far has been my tomatoes.

Already picked a few (a little earlier than most years and they are loaded with fruit.

Hi Todd!

Just by reading your post I was tempted to say it must be alocasia 'cucullata', but after viewing a close-up it is definitely alocasia 'California'. Glad you like it, 'cause it pups very easily and, as you alluded to, is fairly drought tolerant, esp. for an "elephant ear". Guess I'll have to bring you a 'cucullata' this spring, huh?!

(Sorry, but my new policy is not to comment on rainfall. I no longer pretend to be happy when other people receive it and I don't. LOL! It only makes me bitter - sorry, make that MORE bitter. Plus, if I DO receive any I'll lose a friendship if I happen to celebrate freedom of speech by sharing the good news. Right, Jan?! ROFL!)
