| A neighbor of mine has two lovely pear trees full of fruit. The trees have a beautiful cascading shape. The larger one is about 8-10 feet high and the branches "weep" down almost to the ground. The fruit looks somewhat like a Bartlett (gold, with green and brown undertones). I have not yet been able to meet this neighbor to ask about it. A friend at work, on hearing the description, said she also has a similar tree and the fruit is firm and tart, good for baking.
Does anyone know what type of tree this might be? |

| the fruit itself will cause them to have a sort of weeping form because the pears are so dense and heavy they pull the branches down. i would just ask her. there are many cultivars. |
