Did anyone else get one of the red leaf plants from Birdlady at last Fall's plant swap? She said they came up under her Confederate rose so she thought they must be mutated Confederate Rose seedlings. I left mine in the pot until frost and it grew about 3 feet tall. When I put it in the greenhouse I cut off about 2 feet of stem and stuck it down in the 1 gallon pot with the root end. It rooted and now I have two plants. Has your plant bloomed? Has anyone positively identified this plant is?
