Castor Plants

I have some Castor Bean Plants I grow as ornamentals in my yard. I've noticed the stalks are alot like Bamboo in that they are hard yet hollow. If the stalks were cleaned and allowed to dry would they make safe plant stakes or would they poison my other plants?

The stalks cannot poison your other plants, absolutely not. However, I wonder about their usefulness as plant stakes. Let us know if that works for you.

I'd thought to use them for tomato stakes
