For those night sky gazers out there, the Perseid meteor showers are nearly upon us again.

Woohoo! We like to swim at night, and get good stars above the pool. What could be better than that? (maybe a frozen margarita deckside? :))

I'll bring a batch of fresh limoncello!

Drippy, the answer to your question is...'Not much!!' I agree with you completely. But that limoncello sounds good!

Wednesday was a bit overcast; last night (supposedly peak night) I wasn't outside all that long, and didn't see any meteors. I'm hoping there will still be enough activity over the weekend to catch some. How'd the rest of you meteor watchers make out?

Tonight (actually, this early a.m.) is another peak night. You'll see more activity in the pre-dawn hours.

I did see some swoosh by when I went out at around 2-ish. Hey, I had to make a potty run, anyway! It was too cloudy here in the early evening to see the show with Venus, Mars, Saturn and the Moon all having a 'chat' close together in the western sky, darn it. I wonder what or who they talk about when they all meet up like that? ;-)

'Fraid I slept through it. Didn't have to make a potty run at the right time. ;-)

Yah, "pre-dawn" is something I haven't seen for awhile.
