What is the name for the regular green leaved banana plant--large pink blooms-little green bananas? Wanted to put an ID tag beside it but don't know what it's called.Thanks Jan

Could it be Musa ornata? The website linked below says it is hardy in Zone 9 and higher, but I have been growing it for a couple of years in zone 8.

Thanks! That looks like it.I have mine on the east side of the house--been there 2 years & brother's has been in the same exposure 7 years.We mulch very heavy in winter & they do great.Thanks again
