| What is the name for the regular green leaved banana plant--large pink blooms-little green bananas? Wanted to put an ID tag beside it but don't know what it's called.Thanks Jan |

| Could it be Musa ornata? The website linked below says it is hardy in Zone 9 and higher, but I have been growing it for a couple of years in zone 8. |

| Thanks! That looks like it.I have mine on the east side of the house--been there 2 years & brother's has been in the same exposure 7 years.We mulch very heavy in winter & they do great.Thanks again |
