Plant odyssey on B'ham Southside is having a "fire sale." As some of
you may know, the business was struck by an arsonist, who is in jail.
Miss Libby has all containers and plants (except newly arrived mums & such)
at 50% off. I bought some stuff today.
I'm amazed Miss Libby doesn't give up on Birmingham. She keeps going through some big ups and downs, and hasn't left. birmingham needs her more than the other way around. I'm glad her parrots in the store are okay. My boy loves to go in there and talk to them!
wow, when did that happen? I somehow missed that in the news. Glad to hear her birds are ok....that's the first thing I thought of when I started reading your post.
My wife and me were in the area the Saturday following the event. We had some time to waste so we went over there not knowing what had happened. We couldn't believe our eyes and the smell was really bad. But the employees were really nice and even in the middle of cleaning up they kept offering to help us find any plants. We were surprised they were open all all that day. Such a shame, I hope the person gets the max for his crimes.
I went to my mother's today and she saw Libby Rich on TV this week with her weekly gardening segment. Libby said the police have arrested the arsonist and he is sitting in jail. I would love to know why the person set fire to Plant Odyssey. I hope they send the idiot to jail for as long as they did the three kids who burned the churches a few years ago.
so sad to hear of miss libby's troubles.will she continue to operate her plant shop? i have always indulged myself with a visit from time to time at her shop.it is like i walk into another ,wonderful world.here's hoping for all the best.
