I had a kaffir lily and I put it outside this spring to see if it would help it grow and one of those large grass hopper things ate it. :(:(:(......I got it several years ago for next to nothing ......does anyone have a plant that they have divided or will be dividing soon?.....if so I would like to have one of the divisions.

Which one of the plants with the common name of "Kaffir Lily" do you have?
Schizostylis coccinea
Clivia miniata

If it was a Clivia miniata, it should come back from the roots. Check to see if the roots are still turgid and not dried and brittle. If they appear to be still alive, just add moisture when the potting mix feels dry for a few inches deep.

I have had no experience with Schizostylis coccinea, so can't offer any comment about it.

It was Clivia miniat. I thought the same thing, but it never came back. :(
