Why I missed Fall Swap (follow-up)

Several weeks ago I told y'all I had a tentative diagnosis of myasthenia gravis - on Oct. 2 I went back to my doctor because the symptoms were worse and I wanted to see if anything could be done while we waited for blood test results to come back. He told me that they had just come in that morning, strongly positive, that my blood oxygen levels were in the danger zone (my chest muscles had become weak) and that I was going into the hospital. I had 5 days of IV therapy which did help quite a bit; I am home now and taking oral meds, plus once a month will get more IV therapy. It is unknown whether I will be able to attend future swaps, I will have to see how this disease works out. In the meantime, I am somewhat weak and tire very easily. However, it seems to be a mild case of this disease.

I just thought some of you would like to know what was happening. Obviously I will have to cut way back on my outdoor gardening activities but I can continue growing my succulents.

Sorry about your problems. This is a disease I know next to nothing about. Hope it is a mild case and with Gods help you will get better. I Missed you and Catbird both. You know that I get different succulents at times. LMK if you are looking for any. I am hoping to get another Swap started maybe meeting in Culman, all ready have the place to meet offered, this might be better for you. Not thinking of stopping ours at all, just starting another one. I want to come to your next sale, so let me know when it is.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and think of you often, as I'm sure others do. Don't let it get you down or take control - engross yourself in what makes you happy and tell MG it has to take a backseat. Plus, you can't avoid us that easily!

Believe me, I am trying my best! I have been busy moving in my tender succulents in advance of the first frost. Rushing the season but I dare not wait until the last moment. A number of stapeliads are in bloom. Plantman, the sale will be in late April, probably the next weekend after Auburn's A-Day; we will have a lot of gasterias and fancy aloes plus some other not so common succulents.
