Fortnight lily

Does anyone know, if the Fortnight lily, will live outdoors in zone 7b through the winter? I have it in a pot and would like to put it in the ground to see if it would do better.Some web sites say it will survive to 15 degrees F. But it gets a little colder than that, in this zone sometime. Any information would be appreciated.

This is what I found:
Hardiness: USDA Zones 8 - 10. Fortnight lilies may be killed by severe winters in upper zone 8. Keep dry in winter and protect with mulch.
Some sites rate it zones 9 and up.
Can you keep the pot in the garage?
