cracked water fountain bowl

The deep bowl on my fountain has a crack in one side which has not presented a problem over the past two years. However, after standing empty for a while, it was filled yesterday and the pump turned on. This morning, the bowl was bone-dry!! It could be coyotes ( we do have them) or neigborhood thirsty dogs, but I tend to believe the crack must be the problem. What can I seal it with without causing harm to wildlife and/or neighbors' animals?

There is something you can get to patch it - a special type for use on statuary and stuff. Check with businesses that carry the garden ornaments (not the box stores) and they should be able to give you some/tell you the name of it. We had the same problem with one of ours. The little shop up the road from us gave us a tube of stuff to fix the crack - but i can't remember the name of it, sorry.
