Since you found small webs on the plant, I suspect that it is infested with Spider Mites which can be knocked off by using a fairly forceful spray of water.

Thanks for the helpful information. It has taken me very long to find time to get back to this site that I stopped by the local nursery and asked for their comments. Conclusion was as you thought, spider mites. Pot to heavy and weather to cold to take the plant outside and spray with water. Applied a spray pesticide to them yesterday. Awaiting to see if it will bloom again.

Many times I have used just plain old rubbing alcohol to rid plants of problems. It is safe enough even for maidenhair ferns. Probably not the most effective but works well. Need to spray several times to get rid of critters. Also, you might also check with a good nursery and find something systemic for your spider mites.

If you have pets, spray your house with the flea spray recommended and sold by your veterinarian, which I use in rose garden to kill spider mites. It kills spiders and their ilk as well as fleas, etc. The only thing I have found that kills spiders and spider mites. I have had no problems with moths, mites, or spiders since I started using it twice per year. Without it, we would be inundated with fleas since we get them on our clothes and bring them inside where we have two cats. Poor cats, they would probably be on steroids to keep from itching.
