Rose slugs

Has anyone else been having a bad problem with rose slugs recently? They completely stripped several shrub roses of ine, including "The Fair" and "Scentimental". My Knockouts got some damage but not as bad. A number of medians here in Gadsden have "Carefree Beauty" shrub roses planted along the way, and to me they look like they have been hard hit also.

Ken, have you tried a systemic insecticide? Bayer makes a good systemic that you can get at Lowe's.
