Garlic - Harvested too soon or too late? (Newbie/Picture)

I have never grown garlic before. I have some Chinese Pink from Territorial Seeds (http://www.territorialseed.com/product/1312/27) which was said to be extra-early and ready late-May to early-June. I pulled out a couple today (June 2nd) and am wondering if they split because I waited too long or if they aren't ready/this was too soon? Thanks!

I'm a newbie garlic growing and am still waiting to harvest mine, so I'm not speaking from experience. However, speaking from research, your stems seem to be very green rather the 1/2-browned guideline that is often stated. Also, did you clean off the outer skins, or were they just not there?

If the crop gets too much water too late during the season the bulbs will split and start growing again. That is what this garlic looks like to me.

I know I'm a little late with a response, but that looks like entire heads of garlic planted and harvested too early. Did you plant individual cloves or the whole head of garlic, without separating?
