How do you pronounce 'Music'

Posted by wcthomas z7a NJ (My Page) on

Hi all,

I've always pronounced the Music variety of garlic as "myoo-zik" as in a song tune, but a few months back I heard a garlic grower pronounce it as "moose-ik". My garlic books do not give any pronounciation guide; so which is the correct way to pronounce it??

Tom

Good question, Tom. Like you, I've always pronounced it the same as what you get when Count Basie backs up Frank Sinatra.

Hi Hortist,

Well he was from New Joisey and everyone knows that we do not have accents :-)

So if I understand you correctly, it is NOT pronounced like, as Gardenlad put it, "what you get when Count Basie backs up Frank Sinatra"??

Tom
