plant Multiplyers in early spring?

I did not get to making all the pickled onions i had planned, and have a medium box of healthy Potato onions that are sending nice shoots up! If i early spring plant and lightly mulch them, will they size up well enough for good harvest? I have another bed fall planted, as usual :)

Guess i will move the post on over to the vegie forum...everyone here must be busy starting their allium seed this week!
