Society garlic

I have some big fluffy society garlic plants that "came with the house" that we bought 7 years ago. It only bloomed the first 2 or 3 years but otherwise seems fine. It is in a full sun bed that started out as a shade bed till Ike came and knocked down ALL 5 of our big giant shade trees. They are in 3 clumps ranging from small to a big one that is 1 1/2 feet wide and tall. None of them bloom any more. Why?

My guess is that they need to be divided, but since "society garlic" is not really an allium, you might re-post the question in the "Bulbs" forum.
