garlic plants poking up early and snow later

On the brink of zone 5 and 6 in NY, my garlic poked up early in the month when it was unusually warm. Since then, nothing but snow and 18 degree nights. Wondering if I have something to worry about. The tops of the plants have not grown larger, but do not show signs of damage so far.

You don't need to do anything. Actually snow is a kind of blanket keeping your garlics warmer. even witout snow at 18F they could do fine.
