elephant garlic/shallots/pearl onions

| I have elephant garlic, shallots and pearl onions growing for the first time. We're expecting a hard freeze tonite but no moisture. Should I cover them?? I can double or triple floating row cover and/or plastic?????
I've not grown these before and am not sure just how hardy these guys are. Thanks for your help |
