onion planting emergency

COCO-ONO

I had a dry spell 3 or 4 days ago and planted onions for the first time (sets). The directions said to plant them at a depth of 1-2 inches and I did. Now I've read online you should plant them so the tips are above ground! Which was correct? Should I lift some dirt away from my onions? Do I have to replant?

It's no big deal. You'll drive yourself crazy if you try to follow everyones recommendations on gardening. Relax and enjoy. The nice thing is that things usually work out as long as the weather cooperates and you have fololowed basic instructions. Gardening is suppose to be relaxing and enjoyable. Don't let yourself get caught up in the hype.

I just love all the bad gardening advice shared around here. NOT!!!

The bottom part of the set is supposed to be planted 1-2" deep. The green part should be sticking out of the ground. By this time most of them are probably dead so yea you need to replant.
