wild onions

I know they are edible or I wouldn't be typing I ate them when I was a kid my question is can you cross them with another green onion I want to try to breed down the taste but try to retain the way they multiply I imagine that all onions are derived from this source so in theory should be possible anyway your thoughts on this crazy little experiment will be welcome

Only one way to find out. ;)
You could also try potato onions or walking onions.

Aren't there multiplying green onions already? I'itoi, for example, are multipliers/dividers.
