Early garlics & some creoles harvested

Posted by Garylane 6 (My Page) on

Just harvested six varieties of garlic yesterday, ajo rojo, creole red, asian purple, maiskij turban, colorado purple & sonoran. was impressed with the size of the sonoran and the maiskij turban as this was my first year growing them. still have three more creoles to go. First year for the creoles except for burgundy. Looks like the creoles are going to do better here than i thought they would. Is anyone else harvesting garlic yet?

I have harvested Early Italian Purple and German Red. Sicillian and California Late appear to be the next to go. Still have a week or more on the 5 varieties left.

I have never grown any but would love to trade for some so I can get started. Please check my trade list and/or email me and we can chat. I will also do postage.

I harvested most of my Burgundy crop today, have it set up for curing. Next comes Music, I'm thinking in about another week. Anyone have pictures?

Mine should be done in a few weeks.. I am eager to see how they did its my first harvest.

Started preparing a dedicated area just for the garlic for fall.
