 o
garlic sprouting gone mad

From my Little Shop of Horrors:

Just for fun, I took an organic bulb of garlic, put marbles in a glass and set the bulb on top of them, and added water. I put the glass in a sunny window in my bathroom.

Now it has roots all the way to the bottom of the glass, and
each clove has a giant sprout....six inches, to be exact. Two of the cloves seem to be turning brown...

Should I plant this garlic outside? Or is it not going to grow since the sprouts are already so big? Or have I accidentally grown 'hydroponic garlic'?

I've never grown garlic before, but know that in my zone 7a you are supposed to plant garlic in the fall.

Help....before this thing takes over my bathroom. My cleaning lady is giving me strange looks, too.

Kitty,

work up a little piece of dirt and plant that cloves or cloves ASAP. dig the hole deep enough for the roots and set it in.
