Ornamental chives question...

Hi!

I planted ornamental chives in my flower bed last year and this year it has come back in a huge clump.

It's now flowering purple type flowers, so pretty!

I love the flowers but I'm concerned that the chives are going to spread all over the flower bed.

Should I cut these flowers off now?

I'm a newbie in this area, thanks for your help!

Let the flowers fade first then cut them down before they set seed.

While they're still in full flower, you could add them as decoration for salads.

And split up your clump if you want to use it for an edging for your bed. Just keep it moist after dividing and transplanting.
