will size matter this time??

I need some advice on my garlic crops - which i have always had great successes with- except in this year of a harsh cold spell, followed by drought. I plant a lot of varieties of garlic and it has always gone so well. This year, all bulbs are significantly smaller, tho i always save the big cloves for seed garlics. If given a better season weather-wise, will the garlics grow to normal size next year from their genetic tendencies or do i need to order better seed cloves? I really cannot afford to start so many types over again from purchased stock. What do you think?
Thanks,
Glad anyway |

| My guess would be to plant the largest cloves, as always. Make sure you feed them well, and hope for the best. If you can be patient for a couple of years, and plant like you always have, I think your cloves will start to yield big bulbs again. |

| I agree, once the growing enviroment cooperates again, you should get better results. Just doing what you are doing :) |
