my onions are falling over a bit premature,
I planted starts mid april here in MD, and it's been about 2 months and the tops are falling over, onions are golf ball sized. do I need help, or harvest? thanks. |

| There's nothing that you can do about it once they flop. At that point, usually it's "what you see is what you get". They may have missed a watering at an important point of growth or ran out of nutrients. My own white onions from sets began flopping a week or so ago, much to my disappointment. I expected much more growth than what is apparent. However, most of the yellow plants are still erect. Martin |
