Transplanting Allium

This past winter I moved into a new home and when spring came around I had a backyard filled with Allium (not sure what kind, but beautiful none the less). Most of the leaves had turned brown and I decided to rake out the very overcrowded beds, and then I proceeded to dig up the bulbs to move them, but to where I don't know yet because we are in the process of putting in a patio. Can I store them over the summer and replant them in the fall once the patio is in and I have a permanent home for them (and if so how should I store them)or should I put them back in the ground in a safe spot until the fall? My other question is...I have dug up the bulbs and the leaves that did not pull off I left on but I also have a million smaller bulbs that I am assuming are new bulbs, can I plant these also?

Any advice would be most appreciated, right now they are all in a brown paper bag in my garage and i don't want to lose them. Thanks!
