Allium unifolium or something else

Polypompholyx

I want to try growing Allium unifolium. I found a company's website that sells bulbs but I'm in Idaho. The company won't ship them to Idaho. A while ago someone told me that Allium seeds are allowed to be shipped to Idaho. Unfortunately the company doesn't sell seeds. Also, I heard that A. unifolium's cold hardiness might vary according to where the original plant material was collected. I want to try growing the plant outside so I should try getting A. unifolium that is a descendant of plant material collected from a colder area. Anyone know of a company, person, or seed exchange that has what I want?

Alternatively, since I haven't found a source of Allium unifolium so far, maybe I should get a different Allium species. I like the lower height Alliums that don't have a lot of leaves. The flower color isn't significant to me. Is there another species of Allium that's similar to unifolium and might be more cold hardy?
