can i harvesy my shallots?

i am moving next week, and i dont want to leave them behind!!! i planted in early march. they are about knee high, and the top inch or two of the leaves is starting to turn brown. the rest of the leaves are a wonderful dark green color. can i harvest them? or will they not be any good? thanks
