| My fully established chive plants are flowering. How do I harvest the seeds from the flowers? Will the seeds keep for any length of time? |

| When the scapes are dry and you can see the black seeds, carefully cut the heads off and put in a open paper bag. When you feel they are fully dry, rub the seeds out and blow away the chaff. You can try just shakeing the bag with top closed. Store as you would any seeds and plant when you wish. I would think they will keep for 2 years or longer depending on storage conditions. |
