Planting 'old' 2010 bulbs?

tted

Interesting..hidden in plain sight nested in my hanging silverskins I discovered the last of 4 varieties of last years crop still quite hard/full.

1. Assuming the cloves are still viable (no sprouts showing yet) a couple of questions: 1) what are the chances if I clip, double paper bag, put them in the frig that they'll hold till late October planting? (Also any thoughts on holding them 'alive' for a couple of months.)

2. I'm up here on the Hood Canal west of Seattle..how early do you think it would be safe to plant the old 2010-11 bulbs? Now, Aug, Sept..or just forget it..find somethung better to do?
