| My husband bought seeds at Wal-Mart for 2cents each and among the seeds were Evergreen Bunching Onions.
I'm in zone 7b/Texas....can I plant these this fall and have onions next year? Our summers are hot and dry. I planted carrots this way last year and had great results. Thanks for any info.

| I believe they mature faster than that and you'll be harvesting them before spring arrives. Traditionally the Japanese grow them for a year and keep hilling them up till they've got a foot or more of blanched stalk. I think you're too hot for that though. |
