Some of you may remember my post about onion seed failure. I had started some plants indoors and they died. I ended up ordering Candy plants and also planted the rest of the Candy seed that I had.

We harvested the plant onions today and the size was quite good. Most were in the 3-4 inch diameter range, but none were less than 2"

The seed onions are still growing. I'm interested to see what kind of size I get on those.

Garlic harvest was also quite surprising...given that I just planted some store garlic last fall. Some heads shoud have been dug earlier as the outer wrappers had disintegrated amd I've got a few loose cloves. But what the heck, we'll just use them first.
