Online sources of hardneck garlic?

Posted by leaveswave (My Page) on

I've ordered from Seed Savers in the past. They are already sold out of several varieties.

Have you tried SS and know of another source with comparable quality and that might have more selection available right now?

Well, I'm planting my first garlic this fall, but perhaps others here can comment on the possible suppliers I've found so far.

I'm zone 5, so I've been trying to find suppliers around my latitude.

And I may end up at the local farmer's market, per a fellow forum member's suggestion.

Here are the suppliers I found:

TastefulGarden.com
GourmetGarlicGardens.com
Filaree Farm
The Garlic Store
GardenCitySeeds.net
Johnny's Seeds

I hope you find what you're looking for!

The best I have found is Karen & Mike's Wisconsin Grown Garlic. You can buy by the bulb and select the size you want, and they are great people! Unfortunately they are also mostly sold out, but still have about 38 varieties available in their catalog:
