| If I work corn gluten into the soil before planting my fall garlic, will it prevent the cloves from sprouting? Thanks.

| Bob, since no one else has replied I'll venture a guess. I don't believe that corn gluten meal would present a problem for bulbs, tubers etc. Corn gluten meal inhibits the germination of seeds. I say go for it. |

| Thanks! aka peggy. What I also would expect. I have only 5 lb to plant and a long time window, so I'll do half and half and report back. If one half doesn't sprout, I'll pull it up and replant farther down the bed. Thanks again. Bob H |

| Bob, First time I haven't had to weed garlic and onions extensively 3 or 4 times. No apparent effect on either. |
