Should have left them in the ground to overwinter as they are almost certainly hardy. You're going to have major problems holding them inside so plant them out. Actually you would have been better off leaving the bigger ones in the ground but since you've eaten them all.. :-( ... .

Actually, i can easily put them back - and in a spot where they can be watered and cared for. Those uneaten were dying there, one by one, because of our extreme drought situation. I saved the largest one just to replant in a better place/life. I appreciate your reply.
Into the ground they will go this week! I have about 23 varieties of garlics and 4 of Multiplying onions to get in, so a few more won't be any work!
I guess i will have to mulch them like crazy for such small things to hold up over winter,
