Hi,

I just received some sort of an allium in a swap and I forgot what it was called. Duh! Anyhow, I didn't think there was an allium that bloomed in the fall and I don't have a way to post a picture of it. It is not the colchiums crocus but is a real ornamental onion. Any ideas what this could be?

Korean Ornamental Onion

Description: 12-15" x 8" wide, (seed propagated). Originally collected by Dan Hinkley, founder of Heronswood Nursery on the Korean peninsula, this showy fall blooming ornamental onion is superb! Although inconspicuous during the summer with its thin, chive-like foliage, this species bursts into flower with a profuse display of deep pink pom-pom flowers in early fall. Zones 5-8.
