| I am looking for an onion that will grow in PNW, be good keeper, not too difficult to grow from seeds and has some disease resistance. I had some rot on onions that i was growing from sets last year. |

I grew Copra and Candy from seed this year. No disease or rot problems yet. Winter leeks do fabulously well here as do green onions. I'm going to grow 24' of Shimonita onions in 2010. You can leave green onions and winter leeks in the ground thru fall and winter. I'm wondering if I should similarly have left my bulbing onions in the ground too. |
