Shade and deer

I do love the look of ornamental Alliums but I'm looking for plants that will tolerate shade and not be too tempting for the deer. I've had luck with other aromatic plants so that's why I wanted to try Alliums. We just moved to a new (old) house and I killed out the St. Augustine in the front due to the drought. Now, I'm filling in. Any recommendations for Allium that will tolerate shade in 8b?

Thanks in advance!

RE: Shade and deer

The best shade tolerating Alliums are:

Allium Aflatunense/Hollandicum
Allium Purple Sensation
Allium Stipitatum

Please not the Allium "Mars" and Allium "Mount Everest" and Allium "Monte Blanc" are cultivars of Allium Stipitatum and hence will be good in shade too.

best regards
Knud
