So I wanted to do my garlic in containers this year to get the plants into more sun. But, I was worried that the containers would freeze solid in the winter and not be insulated enough to keep the garlic alive. So....

I put my three containers together, built a little fence around them, and filled the area in with hay. So there is about a 1' hay insulation barrier around all the containers.

Think that will work to simulate being planted in the ground? Any problems you can see with it? Thanks!
