Can wimpy leeks survive frost?

Hello,

I grew some leeks this year, and due to my ineptitude (I can do a better job this year I think) a lot of them are very spindly, the thickness of an adult's thumb or less.

I know leeks are supposed to survive frost well, but I was wondering if these weakling ones are at risk for winter kill. Should I harvest these early to prevent them from going to waste?

Thanks!
