South Eastern Natives

Greetings,

I just got a copy of a North American Rock Gardening book and it had some nice articles about eastern and south eastern native rock garden plants, but when I look for them I can't seem to find any nursery that sells them.

I was also facinated by alot of the nifty plants I saw in the new Jersey Pine Barrens, which I think would work well in a rock garden, but also couldn't find anyone who sold them.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for good rock garden plants native to the mid-atlantic/southeast and a nursery which sells them? (Or the name of someone willing to trade?)

Thanks!

RE: South Eastern Natives

There are 4 places I have confidence in, in that they propagate responsibly, as many plants are protected or endangered. I have dealt with them all. Google in Woodlander's in Carolinas, Nurcar (Nurseries Caroliniana), Rarefindnursery.com in Jackson NJ and Fairweather Nurseries in Greenwich NJ. I have not dealt with Eastern Plant in Clark NJ and Me., but they have an interesting list.
