gorge or sunken rock garden - looking for help

I'd like to build a gorge or sunken rock garden. About 4 ft wide as the bottom and 10 ft wide at the top. 40 ft long, and 3-4 ft deep.

My ground drains well so I don't expect to have water problems.

Has anyone done this? Doi you have pics?
