Sempervivum Cmiral's Yellow

I thought that my message in the 'Sempervivum Lovers Unite' section might have got a bit lost so I'm giving it some space of its own.
Having a web site which has a big section all about Sempervivums I am really pleased by the number of E-mails I get from Americans who have enjoyed their visit. I had one a couple of days ago from a lady who lives in California who would like to get hold of the Semp. called Cmiral's Yellow. Its full name is S. montanum var. carpathicum 'Cmiral's Yellow'. I've tried to track down a US supplier but can't find one for her. Does anyone have this plant or know where to find one on your side of the Atlantic Ocean? Please leave a message if you can help. I think import regulations might make posting one of my plants to California a bit tricky. If you want to know what this plant is like, look at the link below. Thanks for any help you can give.

Here is a link that might be useful: Sempervivum Cmiral's Yellow

Sorry I didn't respond right away, but I don't have a source, either. I have forwarded your email to lots of Semp growers in the hopes this elusive cultivar will appear on this side of the Atlantic! I did find a European seed trade list....

Thanks for your help Marea and thanks Mark for your good wishes as well. It may be that this plant is just not available in the USA. Time will tell.

I got a couple of Cmiral's Yellow semps from Squaw Mountain Gardens in Estacada, Oregon a couple of years ago. It wasn't listed in their catalog, but I wrote and requested it and got some. It's been a very slow grower for me, and hasn't started to produce much, but I'm hoping.
