 o
alpine nurseries in new england?

Hi all!

My mother would like to plant a concrete planter with some alpine plants and possible miniature evergreens in time for our local garden club flower and horticulutre show. The thing is, you need to have the plants planted 6 weeks before the show, which is in mid may so she would need to get the plants going in early april or late march. We are looking for nurseries which might have alpine plants available that early, or in fact, any nursery which has good alpine plants even if we can't get them in time for the flower show. we are in south east connecticut, familiar with Salem Country Gardens as our local special spot, we'd be willing to travel up to Mass. or anywhere in RI on a nursery visiting trip for particularly cool nurseries.

thanks for your help!

Pere

Try contacting regional chapters of the North American Rock Garden Society, such as the New England, Connecticut or Berkshire Chapter:

I've just learned of Evermay Nursery in Maine. They have a web site, www.evermaynursery.com.
