Where did H & H Botanicals Go???

I have received catalogs and ordered plants from a company out of Michigan called H & H Botanicals, for the past 3 or 4 years. The specialize in alpines, as well as hundreds..or should I say thousands...of very unique perennials. I always look forward to there long, very detailed and humor-filled catalog. For some reason I didn't receive one this year, and when I check the internet, their website is no longer around. I have called the phone numbers I've found both on the internet and in my previous years' catalogs but get no answer or recording.

If anyone knows if they're still around, and how to reach them, please let me know...or if you know what happened to them. I'm sad that one of my favorite companies has seemed to vanish into thin air...at least as far as I can tell through my computer and phone calls.

Thanks!

Kristin

    I read your post,Googled H&H & read this message
    http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/alpines/msg062116299357.html

then Googled Grand Oak Herb Farm-same address as your H&H but different phone # . Try this: 517-634-5331

    Grand Oak Herb Farm
    2877 Miller Rd
    Bancroft MI 48414-9748

I hope they can tell you something!

I waited and waited to get a catalog from H&H this year, but nothing. And web page gone. The Grand Oaks Herb Farm site is no help--if it actually had any connection to H&H (their site is just publicity for their various programs). If H&H is gone, I'm very sorry as I got some wonderful and unusual plants from them over the years. And loved their equally wonderful and unusual catalog.

Alas, John Hargrove lost three greenhouses over the 2003 - 2004 winter and is temporarily out of business. I just checked with a relative and was told that they will find some way to continue.

I used to live near H&H Botanicals when I lived in Michigan (moved to Ohio in 2000). I am so sad to hear that they are shut down. Nice, nice people and a wonderful selection of plants. I visited their greenhouses several times in the past.I hope they come back to the market place.
