Sempervivum & Sedum moving question

This might be a silly question, but I don't have much experience with these plants & I really like them & don't want to take a chance, so I'm asking anyway. Will they survive if I dig them up & move them? I have two sedums (one tricolor, the other I can't remember) & one semp (hens & chicks). The hens & chicks I bought & planted last fall; the other two were put into the ground a couple of years ago. They're really just not appropriate for their current location & I'd like to put them somewhere else. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

I have never had trouble digging up and moving either sedum or semps - they require well drained soil and lots of sun.

I recently moved my hens & chicks, no problem. It doesn't root deeply and you can practically plop it down in any sunny location and get it to grow, as long as it doesn't get too much moisture. (it will rot if the soil doesn't drain well) This is the 3rd time I've moved the semps and and they don't seem to mind at all. If I want my sedums in another area I just pinch off a few pieces and stick them in the soil in their new home..the pieces root and spread fairly quickly. Plenty of sun and light soil should be all that is required. Shade and heavy wet soil will kill them.
