| Visiting you from my hypertufa forum hoping that you can give me some good leads on finding basalt. All the local garden materials stores have these big ol'pieces of basalt which are much too large for my intended use. I make troughs and plant them up with miniature landscapes. Small pieces of columnar rock (basalt or other?) would make great formations in these gardens. Does anyone know of places in N. CA. or S. OR. where I could find what I assume would be scrap pieces of basalt? Really looking for pieces only in the 4-12" range.
From one rock hound to any other hound, thanks in advance. GB |
