Problem with sedum spurium smothering bulbs

| I'm having trouble with the sedum spurium in my rock garden creeping over top of my miniature narcissi and smothering them. I already have two clumbs that have stopped blooming. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might protect the space where the bulbs live? Maybe I could plant an annual on top of the bulbs to fend off the spurium?

| Surround the bulbs with stones! |

| Hmmmm.... maybe it would work to place a midsize rock on top of each bulb clump for the summer and then remove them all in spring. |
